2025. gada jūlijā ITDA (Starptautiskās transporta attīstības asociācijas, Latvijas) komanda organizēja un uzņēma trīs dienu ilgu Ukrainas Jūras ostu pārvaldes (USPA) un citu organizāciju kolēģu vizīti Rīgā.

Meeting with Neils Kalniņš, Head of the Electronic Communications Office of Latvia:
The delegation presented the implementation of the DocPort system and discussed the stages of developing technical specifications for the maritime module. Neils confirmed the readiness of the Latvian side to finance experts and support the project, while the Ukrainian partners will only need to provide updates on the implementation process.Presentation of an innovative facial recognition solution for driver identification—a step towards automating port checkpoint access without human intervention.
Discussion of the tasks and prospects for introducing a river “single window” system to digitize port processes.
The Ukrainian colleagues were invited to participate in the Maritime IT Forum in Riga on October 22, 2025.
Additional discussions were held regarding assistance to the Ministry of Transport of Ukraine in the development of regulatory legal acts.
Meeting with representatives of the Freeport of Riga regarding the implementation of a new port management system.
With LVR Flote (the technical operator of the Port of Riga), the delegation discussed the use of unmanned surface vessels (USVs) for hydrography and was introduced to the newest vessel, “Laura,” in the Port of Riga.
Negotiations were held with LMT on new technologies and opportunities for cooperation in maritime innovation projects.
ITDA acted as the coordinator of the visit, ensuring effective interaction between key industry players. We especially note the friendly atmosphere and productive agreements on further cooperation between Latvia and Ukraine in the field of port digitalization and innovation.
